Australia: Vastu Builders' Seminar yields concrete results

A Vastu Builders' Seminar was recently held in Australia, where 28 delegates from all over the Pacific region attended the seven-day seminar about Maharishi Vastu architecture design and building.


The Australia seminar featured a wide range of speakers, including Maharishi Vedic architecture experts along with construction, materials, and finance experts.

The range of people attending the seminar was also varied. Many who were merely interested before are now committed to building their own Maharishi Vastu home and have begun the consultation process. There is also an emphasis on building communities and providing the support services necessary for a community to exist and thrive.

Several concrete projects emerged from the seminar. One developer delegate designed a floor plan during the seminar for a ten-bedroom building with Ayurveda health facilities for use by retirees, to be built on 1.5 acres [.6 hectares] of land. The developer met a builder delegate at the seminar, and the two have joined forces to complete preliminary plans. The project will become part of a larger Vastu community development in Australia.

Another attendee developed a plan for a Consciousness-Based Education school. Australia already has a Consciousness-Based school, Maharishi School in Melbourne; 'huge growth in enrolments' has highlighted a need for additional Vastu school buildings in the country.
