The celebration of Victory Day on 24 October continued with more of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's historic address on Victory Day in October 1999.

Please see Part I and Part II of this article:
Celebrating 'a continuum of eternal victory, that is the reality of life' — Maharishi
Celebrating victory in the eternal unity of infinite silence and infinite dynamism

Earlier in his address, Maharishi said, 'We are celebrating victory. Where is victory? Victory is in the eternal unity of infinite silence and infinite dynamism. It's just a continuum of life. It is on this ground that the evolution is a reality. . . . It is on this ground that the action of evolution makes the whole universe spontaneously, continuously evolving. It's a common knowledge that the universe is an ever-expanding universe. What is ever-expanding? The continuum of what we call today, victory. Victory continuum is the nature of life. Spontaneously the nature of life is victory, victory, victory.' Maharishi continued:

'I am victorious, you are victorious, this is victorious, that is victorious. Whatever point, whatever infinity, it's a victory. Because it is invincibility. Invincibility is eternity, and everyone is on that level of eternity.

'The example will be the silent ocean, where all the activity of the waves has settled down. Silent ocean—every point of the silent ocean has the potential of infinite dynamism. Every point of the silent ocean can rise up in a wave. The whole ocean could rise up in a wave. The entire infinity could be in the dynamic state. From where? From the point of eternal silence.

'This is the picture of victory. Invincibility, Totality, fullness of life. Unity of life—but unity with the potential of infinite diversity. This is victory.

'Now we come down to the practical value of this Victory Day. Victory Day is the day of eternal silence with eternal dynamism. It's the day of Veda, it's the day of Atma, self-referral. Self-referral dynamics. Self-referral means completely silent, fully awake within itself. But that silence is self-referral dynamism.

'This is what Veda is. Veda is Samhita. Samhita is togetherness, unified wholeness, unity—with the potential diversity, because the whole diversity emerges from unity.

'This beautiful display of the reality of the eternal victory is available very delightfully, it's such a great delight to say this. This whole eternal field of victory that is silence and dynamism is displayed in the very first syllable of Rk Veda. Rk Veda we found to be the Constitution of the Universe. [In] the first syllable of Rk Veda, there is the total exposure of this field of victory—in terms of myself, self-interaction. Yourself, his self, everyone's self.

'Eternally everyone in his own self, in his own Transcendental Consciousness, is a lively field of the total Veda. So the victory is there in that.'
