On 25 October, the Global Country of World Peace enjoyed the second in a series of three days of special celebrations, highlighting today the quality of infinite dynamism inherent within the Unified Field of total Natural Law, on the auspicious day of Hanuman Jayanti. The celebration took place in MERU, Holland and at the Capital of World Peace in the Brahmasthan (geographical centre) of India. People in many countries also enjoyed a webcast of the celebration.

A highlight of the day's programme, following traditional Vedic recitations by Maharishi Vedic Pandits in the Brahmasthan of India and in MERU, was the video of an address by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi on the Day of Hanuman, 8 November 2007.

Maharishi described in detail the qualities expressed in the sounds and syllables of the name 'Hanuman', giving a beautiful explanation of Hanuman as the expression of Kriya shakti, the power of action—the dynamism of Brahm, Totality, displayed in the Ramayana, one aspect of Itihas in the Vedic literature.

Maharishi said that today's celebration unfolded 'the total value of dynamism. The total value of action. So here is a picture of Brahm (Totality)—the action principle of Brahm,' he said.

Maharishi explained that 'all the glory of Hanuman is sung in the Ramayana. Ramayana is the Itihas of Veda . . . . Action principle of Totality: Hanuman. This is the Indian Vedic calendar. Indian Vedic calendar brings a day out of the 360 days, a day of this quality. A day of Kriya shakti personified, that has been sung in the character, in the activity of Hanuman.

'Ramayana is the mirror where this light is available. That is the reason from times immemorial, the Vedic families from father to son, from father to son, from father to son, the line is set. Every year, out of all the days of the year, one day comes, and everyone has the same performance'
(in the special Vedic recitations on this day).

Later in his address, Maharishi said, 'Now what we have realized—even a few people out of a million population of a country, open to their awareness the source of diversity on both levels, knowledge and action. Knowledge—intellectual understanding, and action is practice for experience.

A few people began to practice Transcendental Meditation and its advanced programmes, including Yogic Flying, Maharishi said, 'and the total national consciousness arises to be pure, integrated, fulfilled, affluent, invincible. . . . Very fortunate we are today to have this glimpse of Reality on the basis of our Being. We find in our Being, Being of all time, of all space, of all diversity, in a single unified state, which is a field of all possibilities.'

Maharishi explained that Hanuman is symbolic of pure activity, the power of action of infinite silence, 'the ruler of the infinite diversity, the ruler established in his own personal Being, which is the Being of collective consciousness, Brahm' . . . .

'In order to distinguish ourselves from the people of any time, any generation, it's our proud privilege to be on a level of Being singing in the words of Ramayana, the whole story of Veda. The whole Constitution of the Universe is sung in the Ramayana on two levels included one with the other, completely integrated—the knowledge aspect and the action aspect. Today is the aspect of action.'

Maharishi also explained that the Vedic Pandits' recitations on this day are an expression of 'their traditional treasure of Total Knowledge and its organizing power, total Constitution of the Universe played in Ramayana. All space and time is played in Ramayana.' According to their tradition, from the Ramayana, from Veda, Maharishi said, the Pandits are 'actualizing the characteristic quality' of the power of action, the power of Totality.

Following the video of Maharishi's 2007 address, Maharaja Adhiraj Rajaraam, honoured by Maharishi as first ruler of the Global Country of World Peace, described the expression of Hanuman, as displayed in the Ramayana, in the structures and functions of human physiology, giving a glimpse of the knowledge brought out in his new book (in press), Ramayana in Human Physiology.

Global Good News will report on Maharaja's remarks in the coming days.
