The knowledge and technology to prevent calamities and fears

Maharaja Adhiraj Rajaraam, honoured by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi as first ruler of the Global Country of World Peace, continued his address during the recent celebration of Guru Purnima in MERU, Holland. In his address Maharaja discussed the 'moral responsibility'—recently highlighted by journalists in media reports—of organizations teaching the Transcendental Meditation Programme around the world to bring to everyone the knowledge and technologies developed by Maharishi to eliminate suffering and promote life in accord with Natural Law.

Maharaja continued, 'Today, when we look at what sometimes is called the spring of the Arab world, or the Middle East; when we look at the palpitations that are taking place in the financial levels of the Euro Zone, of Greece; when we look at America's budget, and planning for it; when we look at explosions happening in our dear cities in the world; and we look at nuclear problems that might happen—and that was not the idea to tell you that these are a world full of problems—in fact our world is full of happiness, of joy . . . . But we want to give the message that the press is asking us to give, as being our moral responsibility.

'In 1990 Iraq invaded Kuwait. President Bush, the father, spoke to the whole world, and had many exchanges and discussions. And one thing he said was: I will not keep one stone unturned, until I find a solution, before I have to go to war. We all remember Maharishi saying publicly: President Bush, there is one stone you have not yet turned.

'Today it's our moral responsibility to tell the whole world what is happening: whether you are a leader who's wondering why the people are revolting . . . . And for the people, they wonder why they have not been able to have the peace that they want, the prosperity that they need, the freedom that they require. For those who wonder why there are fluctuations and heart palpitations in the markets—there is a message:

'That you have available to you the procedures, the technologies, the ways to allow everyone to be happy. Ruler and ruled, investor and banker, and leader of finance, as well as every individual who is feeling that his portfolio is mistreated in the bank, or his activities are being manipulated, and all of these aspects. For the one person walking in the street, afraid that something may jump at him, or a bomb might come, we have a message.

'There is a technology today that is proven, that is available, to resolve the problems, to prevent calamity, to prevent pain and suffering, to resolve issues without conflict. This technology we have. We are able to administer it, and to create the results.

'We are not asking you to be compassionate, fair. We're not asking you to have moral thinking, or not. We're not asking people that they should be educated in how to behave every day, and what they do. Although all of these values are very important for the individual. But you have your schools, you have your belief systems, you have your religion, you have your moral laws, you have your government constitutions and laws that lead and direct and educate, and talk about all of this. Please keep following those, whatever they are.

'But today, the world is crying for, is yelling at us. The press is even coming up to say: it's your moral responsibility. We take this very seriously, and we would like to tell the world: we are here, we have the knowledge and technology, even if you don't want to do it yourself in your own home for whatever reason. We have a programme, designed by Maharishi,' Maharaja said, describing for example large coherence-creating groups of Maharishi Vedic Pandits in India who 'are ready to be assembled, and ready to perform the proper procedures that will eliminate these fears, these heart palpitations'.
