Many advanced courses in the Transcendental Meditation Programme were held in this area in the 1970s. The administration of Maharishi's worldwide organization was based in Seelisberg, Switzerland for over a decade, during a time of great development of Maharishi's programmes for all areas of life, and also of unfolding deeper layers of knowledge and experience through his Vedic Science and technologies of consciousness.
