Germany: Global Mother Divine Organization initiatives support expansion of health programmes

Consciousness-Based health care programmes are expanding throughout Germany, with great support from the dynamic activities of the Global Mother Divine Organization* in the country.

The organization reported on achievements in Germany on the final day of the recent Third International GMDO Congress in MERU, Holland.

Last spring, the GMDO Foundation for Total Knowledge Based Health Care, along with local Teachers of the Transcendental Meditation Programme and Yogic Flyers, participated in a health fair in Erfurt that drew tens of thousands of visitors.

Presentations on Maharishi Light Therapy with Gems and Maharishi Ayur-Veda pulse diagnosis were given through beautiful lectures and posters.

Organizers commented that interest in Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's Transcendental Meditation Programme and other programmes had risen significantly compared with the previous year. As a result of the fair the Thuringia state Ministry of Health became acquainted with the benefits of Transcendental Meditation and its role in reducing health costs. An official in the area of health and sports showed interest in research on Transcendental Meditation and support for a pilot project.

Maharishi Ayur-Veda health products are available in the Maharishi Ayur-Veda shop in Hannover, and in twenty shops through a partnership with a German bakery.

In other news, world-renowned Indian vocalist Anita Roy is scheduled to perform a Maharishi Gandharva Veda music concert this autumn.
