Dr Bevan Morris, Prime Minister of the Global Country of World Peace, commented on the brilliant success of the historic David Lynch Foundation benefit concert, 'Change Begins Within', in April—which inspired many with the realization of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's immeasurable contributions in bringing Transcendental Meditation to the world.

Dr Morris's comments were made following the address of Maharaja Adhiraj Rajaraam, First Ruler of the Global Country of World Peace, at the Global Financial Capital of New York, the day after the concert at Radio City Music Hall. Maharaja had come for a special visit to the United States on the same weekend as the concert; by popular demand, the video of his address and other presentations was recently broadcast on 11, 12, and 15 May on the Maharishi Channel, Maharishi Global Family Chat.

'The event yesterday, as well as the press conference preceding it, was a turning point for the entire world,' said Dr Morris. 'In organizing this event, Raja John Hagelin, Raja of Invincible America, Dr David Lynch, and others, have opened people's eyes to the value of the Transcendental Meditation Programme.'

Dr Morris commented also that, when artists performing at the benefit concert reported how long they had been practising Transcendental Meditation, the audience realized how effective the programme must be for nourishing one's creativity. 'Suddenly, the audience realized the role of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi in the world, and how he has brought us a technique that can achieve something nothing else can. I think this realization will spread throughout the world and give way to future, similar events.

'Both the audience and the performers were exhilarated by the concert, and I think the bliss of the event continues right now in this moment,' continued Dr Morris. 'The excitement was not only due to the artists' performances, but also to the high purpose to which the concert was dedicated: creating groups of meditating children throughout the world, ultimately to crown their nations with invincibility. This is what it means to have one million children learn Transcendental Meditation throughout the world; this is what these artists are doing. This is a great moment for all of us, one that will inspire countless more people to come forward who have benefited from Maharishi's programmes over the years and to publicly voice their appreciation.

'Also, when viewing the videos of young students and school principals sharing their experiences with Transcendental Meditation, it seems impossible to me that anyone in the audience wouldn't think: 'Why is this programme not in every school in the world?'' '

Dr Morris concluded his remarks by thanking all those involved in the organizing of the event, including Raja John Hagelin and Dr Robert Roth, Director of Expansion for the Global Country of World Peace in the United States. Dr Morris also expressed his gratitude to Maharaja Adhiraj Rajaraam for visiting the United States just at the time of the concert, 'blessing the occasion in such a wonderful way'.

Global Good News will feature highlights of Maharaja Adhiraj Rajaraam's address in the coming days.
