Establishing a peace-creating group of 8,000 in India: Global Country of World Peace answers urgent call to prevent violence, create invincibility

Speaking on the Maharishi Global Family Chat on 1 December, Dr Peter Swan, Director of Communication for the Global Country of World Peace, reported on a meeting called earlier that day by Maharaja Adhiraj Rajaraam, first ruler of the Global Country of World Peace, of his Council of Rajas (Administrators).

Dr Swan said, 'This has been one of the most important days in the history of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's worldwide Transcendental Meditation organization—the start of a new project to establish a group of 8,000 peace-creating experts in India, to save India from the violence seen in the past week, and prevent future violence anywhere in the world.'

The Global Country of World Peace was established by His Holiness Maharishi Mahesh Yogi in October 2000 to unite all peace-loving people and bring invincibility to every nation. Maharishi placed the administration of his global organization under the leadership of Maharaja Adhiraj Rajaraam, world-renowned neuroscientist, and his international Ministers and Rajas, along with thousands of Teachers of Maharishi's Transcendental Meditation and National Directors throughout the world.

Dr Swan summarized Maharaja's address to the Council, 'We have to do something to prevent this from happening again,' referring to events in Mumbai, India on 26-28 November. 'We have the solution. The time is calling us and we are the only ones who have the technology that Maharishi left for the world to prevent any negativity from coming up. We take these events as a wake-up call to focus all together on our parental role in the family of nations.'

Reviewing the points of the meeting, Dr Swan said, 'The task is clear: the creation of a group as large and as soon as possible. The group of 8,000 would ideally all be Vedic Pandits, but it could also include ladies, students, young people, old people'—those who have been trained in Maharishi's technology for creating world peace.

Planning has begun immediately for all administrative aspects of the project, contacting those who can come, arranging for food and housing, etc.

Dr Swan said the Vedic Pandits are available and the National Director of India* knows how to accomplish the task. 'What is urgently needed,' he said, 'are practical suggestions for funding and implementing this project quickly.' Ideas discussed include raising funds from various sources, inspiring generous well-wishers of peace and invincibility for India and the world, as well as successful Indian families around the world who would love to ensure the safety of 'Mother India'.

Said Maharaja, 'All together as Maharishi's global family, India needs our help now—Maharishi's India, Guru Dev's** India, the Holy Tradition's*** India. To secure India and all nations through the power that is vested in the Vedic families, this must now be the primary activity and focus of Maharishi's worldwide organization at this time.'
