Global Country of World Peace celebrates Day of Awakening of all the Laws of Nature, 9 November 2008

On Sunday 9 November 2008, the Global Country of World Peace celebrated the Day of Awakening of all the Laws of Nature—the auspicious day of Deva Prabodhini Ekadashi in the Vedic Calendar. The celebration was featured on a live broadcast on the Maharishi Channel, Channel 3.

The celebration was conducted in the assembly of Ministers and Rajas of the Global Country in MERU, Netherlands, in the presence of Maharaja Adhiraj Raja Raam, First Ruler of the Global Country of World Peace.
The celebration included Puja [Vedic ceremony of gratitude], followed by a special programme of Vedic Recitations by Vedic Pandits at the Global Capital of World Peace in the Brahma-Sthan (auspicious geographical centre) of India, as well as in MERU.
Another highlight of the programme was the replay of a beautiful address given by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, Founder of the Global Country of World Peace, during the celebration of this day last year, on 20 November 2007. In this address, Maharishi explained that silence functions not through human endeavour, but through surrender from where silence operates, and that silence functions beyond any speech. Any thought or desire from that level spontaneously 'comes on our lap'; and this is Guru Dev's* gift to us.
