Japan: Publications find success in spreading Maharishi's knowledge

Speaking 12 July 2008 on the Maharishi Global Family Chat, Raja John Konhaus, Raja of Invincible Japan for the Global Country of World Peace, reported the success of magazine and book publications in spreading knowledge of Maharishi's programmes throughout the nation.

For 20 years now, reported Raja Konhaus, the Global Country of World Peace in Japan has distributed a monthly magazine, called Utopia, to practitioners of Maharishi's Transcendental Meditation Technique. 'The current subscription is 5,000 households,' said Raja Konhaus; 'it has been a great success.' Recently, the magazine has added an inventory of all Maharishi Ayur-Veda products distributed by Maharishi Ayur Veda Products International (MAPI) and other Global Country of World Peace companies.

'We've also found that books are extremely effective in spreading awareness of Maharishi's knowledge and programmes,' continued Raja Konhaus. 'After a book is published, we always receive thousands of inquiries.'

Currently ready for publication is 'A Record of Excellence' by Dr Ashley Deans, Global Ambassador for Consciousness-Based Education and Director of Maharishi School of the Age of Enlightenment in Fairfield, Iowa, USA. The book's publication precedes 'Dr Ashley Deans' upcoming tour through the country, during which he will give lectures to education officials, among others, on the benefits of Consciousness-Based Education,' commented Raja Konhaus.

Especially popular in Japan, continued Raja Konhaus, is Maharishi's 'The Science of Being and Art of Living'. The book, which has recently been revised, has now reached an astounding sale of 90,000 copies in Japan since it was first published. 'Through record sales like these, we can measure the great receptivity to Maharishi's knowledge among the Japanese people,' concluded Raja Konhaus.
