On 3 August 2006 Jewish Agency for Israel reported: The residents of Hararit in Galilee are offering peace through the practice of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's Transcendental Meditation Technique and Yogic Flying. It is a joy for Global Good News service to feature this news, which indicates the success of the life-supporting programmes Maharishi has designed to bring fulfilment to the field of world peace.

The Jewish Agency for Israel reports that 'Hararit was first established by a group dedicated to the principles of Transcendental Meditation (TM). The community is in the Galilee, well within rocket range, however it has yet to be targeted.'

The article stated that the residents of Hararit believe that 'meditation has the power to prevent any phenomenon that stems from stress and hostility, even warfare'.

'Alex Kutai, the head of the movement in Israel, said that ten days before the beginning of fighting began a warning was received [by the meditating community at Hararit] that the world was headed for a difficult time,' the article stated.

The article quoted Mr Kutai as saying, 'On the day before it all began, July 11, we all gathered at the Nof Ginnosar Hotel and from that moment on began to practise Transcendental Meditation and Yogic Flying.'

The Jewish Agency for Israel reported Mr Kutai as saying that there are more than 600 scientific studies on the effects of Transcendental Meditation and the TM-Sidhi Programme including Yogic Flying. 'Of these studies, 52 of them have proven that meditation is capable of solving conflicts, including one that was conducted here in Israel within the framework of the war in Lebanon,' the article stated.

The article stated that according to electronics engineer Dr Reuven Zelinkovski, who is a reserve colonel in Army Intelligence, a group of Yogic Flyers could bring peace to the area 'immediately'. Dr Zelinkovski explained that a group equal to the square root of 1 per cent of the population—in this case 256-300 people—practising Yogic Flying together would be sufficient to end the conflict.

The article quoted Dr Daniel Glicker as saying that it 'would cost less than the tail wing of an F-16 to fund a group of people to meditate for the whole country and guarantee peace'.

Every day Global Good News documents the rise of a better quality of life dawning in the world and highlights the need for introducing Natural Law based—Total Knowledge based—programmes to bring the support of Nature to every individual, raise the quality of life of every society, and create a lasting state of world peace.
