On 22 May 2005 Sunday Business Post reported: The small, privately-owned Irish island of Inishraher has been designated as a 'Maharishi Capital of the Global Country of World Peace' according to an announcement received by Last Post, a regular column of the Sunday Business Post in Ireland. Columnist Fiona Ness said the Capital will house an international education centre 'as a part of the effort to attain permanent world peace'. It is a joy for Global Good News service to feature this news, which indicates the success of the life-supporting programmes Maharishi has designed to bring fulfilment to the field of world peace.

The article also noted that the Global Country of World Peace is a 'borderless country' established in 2000 with the aim of promoting 'enlightenment to every individual and invincibility to every nation' in part through the establishment of groups of yogic flyers around the world. Ness also mentioned that the Global Country had its own currency, the Raam, now available in the Netherlands.

Every day Global Good News documents the rise of a better quality of life dawning in the world and highlights the need for introducing Natural Law based—Total Knowledge based—programmes to bring the support of Nature to every individual, raise the quality of life of every society, and create a lasting state of world peace.
