Plans announced for national Capital of US Peace Government In New York City

The new US Peace Government National Capital in New York City is a glorious and impressive five-storey, columned building at 70 Broad Street, just a few doors from the New York Stock Exchange. This national historic landmark was built almost a hundred years ago by the American Bank Note Company and is where the engravings on today's US currency were originally designed.

The new building will soon become a fully functional Capital of the US Peace Government, with the most advanced videoconferencing center in the world. Daily 'Global Parliaments of Peace' promoting the implementation of Maharishi's programmes will be broadcast from the beautiful Constitution Hall on the main floor, with balcony seating on the mezzanine, which will also serve as a permanent public display (the 'Grand Promenade of Total Knowledge').

The building will house a direct high-speed Internet pipeline to the world's most powerful network of over 10,000 servers located at critical junctions in the global information superhighway, allowing full-screen, high-quality streaming video to any computer anywhere on earth—greatly expanding the reach of the global satellite broadcasts.

The US Peace Government is creating Departments of Preventive Medicine, Consciousness-Based Education, Governmental Administration, Defence, Economy, Sustainable Agriculture, etc.—each with its own Cabinet Secretary and a dynamic core of experts. These Departments will powerfully promote and organize for the implementation of the US Peace Government programmes nationwide, including the establishment of peace-promoting groups throughout the country.

Full-time experts are being sought to fill these positions, so that the new Capital in New York quickly becomes the world's most powerful force for promoting Maharishi's knowledge. These experts will form a new leadership team for America and enjoy an ideal routine of profound inner experience as they powerfully transform the world.

In this context, Maharishi has asked the President of the US Peace Government, His Excellency Dr John Hagelin, to design an accelerated PhD and internship programme so that students can help fill the US Peace Government Departments with dynamic young leadership. He has also asked Dr Hagelin to structure a special Transcendental Meditation Teacher Training Course to be held in Maharishi Vedic City or New York to train new TM teachers, who will also be trained as Ideal Administrators to serve in the Peace Government Departments or as Administrators of the new Peace Palaces. Maharishi charged all the new graduates of M.U.M. to enrol in these programmes.
