Aileen Getty, Founder and Executive Director of Gettlove, says, ''I truly believe that relationships and communities are the solutions to our ills. But more deeply than that, the most valuable thing is to find that place where we go to restore or find our nature; and I believe strongly that TM is a means to that nature.''
A Gettlove staff member says they strive to provide a sense of belonging to individuals; to help them ''discover who they really are—see what their strengths are, build a network of relationships that add meaning to their lives; and give people an opportunity to truly belong in this community.''
Participants in the program comment that Transcendental Meditation helps relieve anxiety, gives a sense of ''coming home'', helps ''release the creative juices'', and ''allows me to be comfortable within myself''. Another staff member likes ''the way that TM and Gettlove work together,'' and feels that TM can help their clients ''remember some of their dreams and start living again''.
