Maharishi Ayurveda Products celebrates 25 years making authentic herbal and medicinal formulas

Lothar Pirc, Founder and Managing Director, Maharishi Ayurveda Health Centre Bad Ems, Germany, and General Secretary of EURAMA (European Ayurveda Medical Association), spoke about the silver jubilee celebration for Maharishi Ayurveda Products International (MAPI).

After touring India and giving conference presentations about Maharishi Ayurveda,* Mr Pirc went to Delhi to celebrate 25 successful years of making MAPI authentic herbal formulas according to the Ayurvedic texts. There were about 35 leading physicians, researchers, and administrators of Maharishi Ayurveda health care around the world there to discuss the future of MAPI and how to continually improve the brand's supplements and other products to meet rising demand.

Said Mr Pirc, who uses Maharishi Ayurveda products in his esteemed health centre in Germany, '[I was] highly impressed with the professional quality and the very high level in every aspect of the company.'

It is this quality, he feels, which has led to MAPI being the market leader in Ayurveda products for the whole world.

While in Delhi, Mr Pirc visited the MAPI factory to research further the quality of the products.

They have state-of-the-art laboratories, he said, adding that this is very important.

'Ayurveda has become so popular and we have to ensure that the quality of products is very pure. . . . Maharishi Ayurveda is really fulfilling all these criteria and has been praised by the Indian Health Minister . . . as the world leader from which every company in the world should take example.'

In addition to touring the MAPI factory, the Maharishi Ayurveda leaders who gathered for the celebration were honoured by a visit from the president of the All India Ayurveda Congress, the largest doctor's association in the world with over 300,000 members.

Dr Devendra Triguna, son of the revered Ayurveda expert Dr Brihaspati Dev Triguna, gave a message from his father. His father praised the knowledge of Ayurveda brought to light by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, but felt that more work was needed to realize Maharishi's vision of perfect health for the people of every nation.

Reported Mr Pirc, 'He was asking that we have more vigour and vitality, all of us around the world, to spread this beautiful knowledge [of Maharishi Ayurveda]. Because he said this knowledge is really capable of creating a disease-free society.'
