Maharishi's Vedic Approach to Health supports health, bliss, and balance in mind and body. Each programme of Maharishi Ayur-Veda health care supports general good health and also offers a unique angle for a specific aspect of health.
One aspect of these approaches is that they 'purify and enliven the channels for all the five senses', explained Dr Walter Mölk, an international expert in Maharishi Ayur-Veda.
The sense of hearing is purified and enlivened through sound therapy such as Maharishi Vedic Vibration Technology and Gandharva Veda music; the sense of touch through such programmes as rejuvenating spa treatments; the sense of sight through programmes such as Maharishi Light Therapy with Gems; the sense of taste through Maharishi Vedic Organic Agriculture, food supplements, and Maharishi Honey; and the sense of smell through programmes including VedAroma essential oil therapy.
'Maharishi Mahesh Yogi emphasized that we are able to metabolize all experiences into bliss, or ojas,'* Dr Mölk said. He quoted Maharishi:
'The ability to metabolize all sensory experience into the experience of bliss is the ability for prevention. All the five channels of perception, the five senses must be so clear, that all experiences through any of the five senses always inspire bliss.
'Balanced metabolism of experience requires that all five sensory channels are clear and unobstructed, and that the input to the senses does not create strain on the pathways of perception.
*According to Maharishi Ayur-Veda ojas is the substance that maintains life and promotes bliss and longevity.
