The Maharishi Ayur-Veda Association of America is pleased to announce new training courses in Ayurvedic medicine for practicing health professionals. These courses, scheduled for spring and summer 2009, offer an exciting opportunity to explore the cutting edge of integrative mind-body medicine and learn practical approaches for improving the health of your patients.

Purpose of the course:
The changing environment of health care is now placing greater emphasis on complementary and alternative approaches to treating patients. These approaches have the potential to improve the health of a large number of patients, while reducing overall health care costs.

However, it's important that physicians and other health care providers incorporate complementary and alternative practices that are evidence-based and supported in the published literature.

This course will present an evidence-based approach to integrative medicine, focusing on training in practical approaches of Maharishi Ayur-Veda.

Participation in this program will allow licensed health care practitioners to expand your scope of practice by incorporating the time-tested knowledge of the world's oldest tradition of natural medicine.

This educational program has been designed for medical doctors, osteopathic physicians, chiropractic physicians, naturopathic physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and other allied health professionals who are committed to providing optimal care for their patients.

The courses will present principles and procedures of Maharishi Ayur-Veda, a modern scientific revival of Ayurveda, the world's oldest continuously practiced system of medicine. You will also develop new skills of diagnosis, treatment, and prevention that can be immediately applied in your practice.

For your convenience, the complete 12-day program is offered in four 3-day modules. The spring-summer 2009 schedule includes courses in Bethesda, Maryland; Encinitas, California; and Fairfield, Iowa.
