Spain responds to the call for a Tower of Invincibility

There has been considerable interest expressed in a Tower of Invincibility by the public of Spain, following the placement of large advertisements in the major national newspapers. The Mayor of Madrid has also been impressed by the advertisements.

Speaking on the Maharishi Channel on 7 September, Dr. Antonio Bartolome, Raja of Spain of the Global Country of World Peace, explained that the advertisements, placed in La Razon and El Mundo newspapers, gave rise to many phone calls as well as discussions on the radio. 'Although they did not understand the concept of invincibility initially, they wanted to talk about it,' reported Dr. Bartolome.

The Mayor of Madrid has been contacted personally, and pressed to start the construction of the Tower of Invincibility in the capital city without delay.

'We emphasized that it is the most needed and most appropriate undertaking that the City Council should undertake,' Dr. Bartolome said. 'They are doing many things, but everything else can come afterwards: first, the main thing is for the city to reach invincibility, and for the whole nation to achieve happiness, affluence, peace, perfect health—all good for everyone.'

The Global Country of World Peace will be meeting with the Madrid City Council, who are taking the project very seriously, to see how they can take the project forward.

'We are also approaching the most wealthy people of the country,' Dr. Bartolome reported, 'as well as the main companies and foundations, in order to give them a chance to participate in the financing and the construction of the Tower of Invincibility. In this way they can become Founders of Invincibility for the nation.'

Popularizing the concept of invincibility in this way may have had other positive effects, Dr. Bartolome explained.

A company with 600 employees have approached the Teachers of Transcendental Meditation in Barcelona and will be having introductory talks on the subject soon. Appointments have been secured with principals and teaching staff at a number of schools to discuss Consciousness-Based Education. There has been good progress in a project to develop Maharishi Vedic Organic Agriculture as the core of a community dedicated to maintaining peace for Spain and the world. Situated in a 'heavenly location', the project's first greenhouses will become fully functional within days. Also, more people have been learning Transcendental Meditation in Spain than is normal for this time of year.
