Vedic City, United States
9 January 2006

On 9 January 2006 About.com reported: Elaborating on a previous article about Vedic City, USA, About.com reported that 'Vedic City is not just another city, and is not without a purpose....Vedic City will provide its residents Vedic knowledge for a better life....an enlightened lifestyle that generates a high level of health, happiness, and success.' It is a joy for Global Good News service to feature this news, which indicates the success of the life-supporting programmes Maharishi has designed to bring fulfilment to the field of government.

The layout and architectural design of all buildings in Vedic City is entirely in accord with the principles of Vedic Architecture, Maharishi Sthapatya Veda.

Bob Wynn, one of the developers, (and currently Mayor of Vedic City) has said that in Vedic City, residents and visitors have the opportunity to experience the benefits of these structures which are built utilizing 'natural laws that connect individual intelligence with cosmic intelligence'. In such buildings one can 'think more creatively, make better decisions, feel healthier, enjoy refreshing sleep, and experience greater peace of mind'.

In addition, residents, most of whom are vegetarian, have local organic produce available from Vedic City's farms.

Residents of Vedic City, as well as 3,000 people nearby at Maharishi University of Management, practise Maharishi's Transcendental Meditation Technique. According to the article, one of the founders of Vedic City, Tim Fitz-Randolph, said that 'The beneficial effects of group meditation prompted him to think about creating the Maharishi Centre for Perfect Health and World Peace—a permanent structure for 10,000 practitioners.'

This large group practising Maharishi's Transcendental Meditation Programme (and its advanced techniques) would 'jointly raise the consciousness and health of the world', Fitz-Randolph is quoted as saying.

The article says that future Maharishi Sthapatya Veda building projects include the construction of one Maharishi Tower of World Peace in each of the 12 time zones around the world. There are also plans for a very large group of Vedic experts in India, who will create peace for the whole world on a permanent basis and will 'support Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's magnificent efforts to create heaven on earth'.

Every day Global Good News documents the rise of a better quality of life dawning in the world and highlights the need for introducing Natural Law based—Total Knowledge based—programmes to bring the support of Nature to every individual, raise the quality of life of every society, and create a lasting state of world peace.
