Global Mother Divine Organization in Ghana presents achievements, initiatives for 2011

During a recent international celebration of the Global Mother Divine Organization* in MERU, Holland, the organization in Ghana presented its many achievements of 2010, along with new initiatives and plans for 2011.

GMDO helped support the visit of Dr Ashley Deans, Global Ambassador for Consciousness-Based Education, to Ghana in autumn 2010, during his tour promoting this ideal system of education in many African countries.

Dr Deans gave very successful TV interviews and two public lectures, one at the British Council Hall, and the other at the University of Ghana, Legon.

The National Coordinator of the Forum for African Women Educationalists (FAWE) attended Dr Deans' public lecture.

GMDO arranged a meeting with a woman government Minister, which included Dr Deans and the GMDO National Director, Dr Bertha Dumatonu.

The meeting had a very positive outcome. The Minister recognized the value of the Transcendental Meditation Programme for women, since women have so much to cope with, she said—especially those served by her Ministry, which deals with social problems.

She was very impressed by Dr Deans' presentation and expressed the intention to learn Transcendental Meditation.

GMDO also launched the Ghana Chapter of the organization for Indigenous Mothers and Grandmothers in November.

Many members of the Global Mother Divine Organization in the country supported the first national Yagya** performance for Ghana, which was performed in autumn 2010 by Maharishi Vedic Pandits in India.

Global Good News will continue to feature more highlights of GMDO achievements in Africa, as well as those of the organization in many other countries, in the coming days.
