Offering Consciousness-Based Education seminars for leaders in education worldwide

The International Foundation of Consciousness-Based Education offers inspiring seminars of varying lengths to school administrators and educational leaders in countries around the world.

A short seminar to introduce Consciousness-Based Education to leaders in higher education is offered in a one-day or half-day format, said Dr Susan Dillbeck, President of the Foundation, speaking on 12 January 2011. The seminar is presented on-site at the educational institution.

Dr Girish Varma, Chairman of the 151 Maharishi Vidya Mandir Schools Group, and President of Maharishi Institutes of Management and Information Technology, in India,* originally requested this seminar, Dr Dillbeck commented. Through DVD presentations by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, scientists, and educators it presents a vision of possibilities for greater success and growth through the Transcendental Meditation Programme, Yogic Flying, and other elements of Consciousness-Based Education. The seminar highlights the theory, practice, outcomes, and scientific research on this educational approach.

'This is an ideal seminar to offer in the wake of the dazzling presentations of Global Ambassador of Consciousness-Based Education, Dr Ashley Deans**—to take advantage of the momentum, the enthusiasm, by giving more specific knowledge and a concrete plan of action' to those who attend, Dr Dillbeck said.

Another seminar for school leaders, taught over the course of five days, is offered in an in-residence format. Leaders have the opportunity to learn the Transcendental Meditation Programme during the seminar.

Entitled Introduction to Consciousness-Based Education for universities and schools: Awakening the total creative intelligence of students as the basis for professional success and personal fulfilment, the seminar presents the scientifically validated benefits of this education. Dr Varma was the first to offer this seminar, Dr Dillbeck said. 'They conducted this course for a group of top educational administrators,' she said.

*Dr Varma is also Director-General of the Global Capital of World Peace at the Brahmasthan (geographical centre) of India, and national director of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's programmes in that nation.
