In a special Global Family Chat on 14 July 2008, during the 11-day global Guru Purnima Celebrations in MERU, Netherlands, Dr Antonio Bartolome, Raja (Administrator) of Spain for the Global Country of World Peace, reported developments in the fields of education, health, and agriculture. Raja Antonio is responsible for administering the programmes of the Global Country of World Peace in Spanish and Portuguese-speaking countries in Europe and Africa.

Consciousness-Based Education

Consciousness-Based Education programmes will soon be implemented in one hundred existing schools in Spain. Through this initiative, thousands of students will learn the Transcendental Meditation Technique. In addition, Maharishi Invincibility Schools are planned for Portugal and several other countries. Extensive scientific research has shown that Consciousness-Based Education improves academic performance and creates an influence of coherence and peace in the communities, the basis for the invincibility of the nation.

Vedic Health Care

A private company owning 1,500 spas is working with the leaders of the Global Country of World Peace in Spain to offer the Transcendental Meditation Programme and Maharishi Ayur-Veda health treatments in all its facilities. Scientific research has shown these programmes to be effective in preventing disease, reversing the ageing process, and reducing stress.

Vedic Agriculture

A university of Maharishi Vedic Organic Agriculture will be built in the Brahma-Sthan (the geographic centre) of Spain. The site has recently expanded from three hectares to several hundred hectares, and will accommodate 1,000 students. While pursuing their studies, the students will create invincibility for the nation through the group practice of the Transcendental Meditation and Transcendental Meditation Sidhi Programmes.

As a perpetual memorial to over fifty years of the global achievements of His Holiness Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, a Tower of Invincibility will be built on the campus.
