The Ambassador of the Kingdom of Cambodia is guest of honour at a special reception in Geneva

Dr Stuart Vernon, a teacher of the Transcendental Meditation Programme who has been working at Maharishi Vedic University (MVU) in Cambodia, recently presented Maharishi's book Science of Being and Art of Living to the Ambassador from Cambodia to the United Nations in Geneva.

In Geneva, Dr Vernon met with those practising Transcendental Meditation, and also held a meeting for general public. It was the second meeting to which His Excellency Mr Chheang Vun, Ambassador of Cambodia and three others from the Cambodian Embassy came.

Dr Vernon introduced the Ambassador to the activities and goals of the Global Country of World Peace, and it turned out the Ambassador had already visited Maharishi Vedic University in Cambodia and supported it.

The Ambassador was offered flowers, more information about Consciousness-Based schools, and Maharishi's book Science of Being and Art of Living.

Mr Vun thanked them for everything and said that Cambodia really needs our help. He thanked Dr Stuart Vernon for what he has accomplished with Maharishi Vedic University in Cambodia.

Mr Vun said that meditation is very important and that he himself practised meditation every day. He said he would be returning to Cambodia soon and perhaps he could teach some courses at Maharishi Vedic University.
