On 19 February 2006 SentinelandEnterprise.com reported: The land surrounding the Maharishi Vedic Health Center in Lancaster, Massachusetts, which operates primarily as an upscale spa, may soon also be home to a university campus and grade school. Plans are underway to build educational facilities similar to Maharishi University of Management and Maharishi School of the Age of Enlightenment in Fairfield, Iowa, where all faculty and students practise the Transcendental Meditation Technique. It is a joy for Global Good News service to feature this news, which indicates the success of the life-supporting programmes Maharishi has designed to bring fulfilment to the field of education.

The article quotes literature on the TM Technique, which explains that the Transcendental Meditation Programme is a 'simple, natural procedure to gain deep rest—and contact that inner reservoir of creativity, energy, and intelligence'.

The Maharishi Vedic Health Center sits on a quiet and peaceful 217 acres. The plan is to use a portion of the land to construct a 200,000-square-foot school and university, which will incorporate the Transcendental Meditation Technique in their curricula.

SentinelandEnterprise.com interviewed Daryn Hamilton, a city councillor in Fairfield, Iowa, to give his impressions about the existing university—M.U.M.—and school—M.S.A.E.—there. The article reported that M.U.M. has had a favourable cultural and economic impact on the town. According to Hamilton, 'Many of the graduates of the Maharishi's management university go on to create businesses in town, some which have been very successful.'

SentinelandEnterprise.com also interviewed Helen Creighton, Director of the Maharishi Vedic Health Center in Lancaster.

Creighton said that the centre offers a range of treatment packages with stays of as little as two days or as long as three weeks, and can accommodate up to ten guests at any given time.

While many guests are practitioners of the Transcendental Meditation Technique when they arrive, Creighton said that of those who are not practising the technique when they arrive, 'about 25 per cent of them go on to learn it after coming here'.

The article reports that, 'The Lancaster centre focuses on rejuvenation, detoxification, and stress reduction, as well as the 'development of consciousness'.'

The article explains that the Maharishi Vedic Health Center and the proposed school are part of a much larger organization, the Global Country of World Peace, which offers programmes for many areas of life including architecture, education, agriculture, and world peace.

Every day Global Good News documents the rise of a better quality of life dawning in the world and highlights the need for introducing Natural Law based—Total Knowledge based—programmes to bring the support of Nature to every individual, raise the quality of life of every society, and create a lasting state of world peace.
