More conference details and FAQ:

What will happen during the conference?
This conference will provide an opportunity for women to spend a weekend hearing the wisdom of the indigenous women elders. These Grandmothers are the traditional revered elders, spiritual leaders, and wisdom keepers of their ancient cultures. Each of the Grandmothers will share their vision on the key role of women in ushering in the urgently needed transformation in world consciousness. Several of the Grandmothers have reported that, since childhood, they have known of ancient prophecies that foretold of the role of women in this time—that it would be the nourishing power of women that would support and facilitate a critical transition in the earth's history, a time know as 'the great turning'. This is the message that the Grandmothers will share at the conference.

The weekend will provide the opportunity to both listen and participate. The Grandmothers will be leading the group in ceremony and traditional drumming, dancing, and singing. While the Global Mother Divine Organization (GMDO) will host the weekend, it will be led by the Grandmothers and other guest indigenous elders.

Are performances planned?
Yes. Joining the conference will be the Native American drummers, Turtle Woman Rising, a group of six indigenous drummers whose powerful rhythms and songs will provide the musical backdrop for the whole weekend. Guest performances by the revered indigenous elders will include Hawaiian dance and song, Maori chanting, and classical Indian dance.

What is the Grandmothers' connection with the community in Fairfield, Maharishi University of Management, and Maharishi Vedic City, Iowa?
GMDO invited the Grandmothers to Fairfield after hearing of their work and realizing that they share a similar vision for the transformation of the consciousness of the world. Since then, five Grandmothers visited the community and learned the Transcendental Meditation Programme. Many of the others are eager to learn during their visit for the conference. In the future, GMDO and the Indigenous Grandmothers plan to work together to create an alliance for supporting the resurgence of indigenous cultures. The Grandmothers' visit provides an opportunity for a beautiful exchange in which they will inspire everyone with their traditional wisdom, while learning more about Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's knowledge and programmes.
