'I begin to feel 40 years younger today' - Maharishi Mahesh Yogi addresses the people of Holland

On the 40th anniversary of his first visit to Holland on 1 September 1967, Maharishi Mahesh Yogi spoke by conference phone to an assembly in The Netherlands of 250 practitioners of the Transcendental Meditation and TM-Sidhi programme.

Having listened to an account of his first visit to Holland in 1967, Maharishi addressed the participants in the celebration: 'Your Assembly has brought me forty years back in[to] my young age. Memory. I remember when I was addressing the first meeting in Holland. There was a lady, who was translating all that I was saying. All those memories are fresh in my mind today.

'Today, those 40 years ago . . . that was the day that the seed of enlightenment was sown on the pious land of Holland. I sowed the seed of enlightenment and now it has sprouted; and it has become a 40-year-old tree, and it is spreading the shadow on the hot grounds of Holland.

'Holland is the first country today, who is shining as a brilliant star of hope for the world, a brilliant star bringing the light of invincibility- radiating the light of invincibility to the whole world population. I congratulate the people of Holland, and I want you to applaud this call of Holland for the invincibility of the whole world today.

'I inaugurated the Movement of Transcendental Meditation 40 years ago on this land, and today, I am inaugurating invincibility for the whole human race from the land of Holland.

'I am proud of you, Raja Willem: you have revived the memory of the great Raja Willem of many centuries past who founded Holland; and now you are the sunshine to radiate the light of invincibility, which is based on enlightenment.

'Enlightenment of so many hundreds of people of Holland: enlightenment, pure awakening, bliss, the light of the Self—this is now the natural radiance from Holland to all the countries of the world. I am very happy to say that now the Movement, which was the Movement to bring Enlightenment to the individual through Transcendental Meditation, is the Movement today to bring the light of invincibility.

'So the seed of enlightenment, freedom, bliss, all good in life, that was sown 40 years ago, now is a big huge banyan tree, which is spreading far and wide in the world to bring every nation . . . the light of invincibility.

'So congratulations to the people, and I'm very proud of you Raja Willem, that you have revived the memory of 40 years. They have brought a new sunshine for the new destiny of all countries, one hundred and ninety two countries in the world. I laud the audience to say today: ''Hail Raja Willem of Invincible Netherlands!'' Hail Raja Willem, the Founder of Invincibility of Netherlands and the Founder of Invincibility for all mankind in our family of nations.

'This is the voice which is coming from the 40 years of life in the Netherlands. Raja Willem, you are a lighthouse of enlightenment to the individual, and of invincibility for Netherlands, and of global invincibility for the whole of our family of nations.

'Hail Raja Willem, and all Glory to Guru Dev*, from where all the beautiful knowledge has come for enlightenment to the individual, and now invincibility to every nation.

'All glory to Guru Dev. Jai Guru Dev.'
