Signs of rising coherence: Peru and Colombia new economic powerhouses in Latin America

Recent good economic news from several Latin American countries reflects rising coherence in national consciousness, according to Transcendental Meditation teachers in the region.

Traditionally, they explain, there have been four countries in Latin America which are economically strong: Mexico, Brazil, Chile, and Argentina.

This is no surprise, as both Mexico and Brazil are considered to be in a similar stage of newly advanced economic development, along with India, China, South Korea, and Russia.

But in the last few years, two new countries have become economic 'tigers'. Peru and Colombia, both of which had vastly different economic situations even five years ago, are now considered powerhouses of Latin America. This is due to their wealth, export capacity, and economic improvement.

An article was recently published in The Wall Street Journal and picked up by local newspapers in Latin America. In Expreso, reporters noted that both Peru and Colombia are characterized by a young population, growing middle class, relatively low debt, and dynamic economic expansion.

This rapid economic growth also comes as no surprise, commented a Transcendental Meditation teacher who administers programmes in both countries.

In recent years, both Peru and Colombia have seen the establishment of large groups of people who daily practise Transcendental Meditation and its advanced techniques, including the Transcendental Meditation Sidhi programme.

This approach, including TM-Sidhi Yogic Flying, is central to programmes developed by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi and implemented in many countries. Such programmes utilize peace-creating technologies of consciousness which have been demonstrated through scientific research to neutralize tensions and ensure lasting peace, security, and economic stability.

Thus in addition to creating a peaceful effect, a predicted result in a country with large groups of Yogic Flyers is positive change in the economic quality of the nation.

'We have seen it in Mexico, we have seen it in Brazil, and now we are seeing it in Peru and Colombia,' the teacher said.
