Latin America: Cadets, soldiers, and Invincible Defence all benefit from Transcendental Meditation

Initiatives based on Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's technologies of consciousness continue to flourish in Latin America, according to Transcendental Meditation teachers working in different countries.

These technologies include Transcendental Meditation and the advanced Yogic Flying technique, and they are often applied on a wide scale in society through Consciousness-Based Education.

One teacher highlighted the success of several new school projects in the region, mentioning a school in Chile where about 1,000 students have started practising Transcendental Meditation.

In other news from Latin America, a large group of young cadets, children of military personnel, have started meditating as well. In many cases, these are children of military officers who were satisfied with their practice of Transcendental Meditation and requested that their children learn the technique also.

The cadets, ranging in age from 10 to 18, now meditate as part of their daily school schedule.

When parents enjoy their meditation, they often want their children to practise, too, said a local Transcendental Meditation teacher.

He added, 'When the [Consciousness-Based Education] project integrates with the community, the community starts to absorb it on so many levels.'

In addition to this localized news, the entire Latin American region is experiencing a boost due to large groups of people practising Transcendental Meditation and Yogic Flying.

Initiating these large groups is also known as Invincible Defence Technology, so named for the group's ability to defend against crime, tension, and violence and to promote peace and prosperity.

According to the Invincible Defense Technology website, 'The approach calls for the immediate establishment of large national groups of peace-creating experts practicing specific ''technologies of consciousness'' that have been scientifically shown to neutralize acute ethnic, political, and religious tensions that fuel violence, terrorism, and social conflict.'

In one city the number of Yogic Flyers has lately increased to 2,850, divided into two groups. This number is still growing, said a local Transcendental Meditation teacher.

He added, 'The project is advancing very well . . . and now we are beyond the number of Yogic Flyers required in Latin America' to achieve invincibility for the whole continent.
