Latin America: Continent-wide effect of coherence, positivity anticipated as large groups of advanced meditators form

Over the last several months Global Good News has reported about steadily increasing numbers of students, businesspeople, and other professionals in countries across Latin America who are learning Transcendental Meditation and its advanced techniques.
Recent updates from teachers of the programme in the region have described how some of the groups are becoming very large—large enough, in fact, to create a good effect for the whole continent.
The practice of Transcendental Meditation has repeatedly been shown to increase creativity, intelligence, and happiness, and promote integrated brain functioning and better health in the individual. But there are broader sociological implications—backed by scientific research—when groups meditate together: especially when large groups of people learn the advanced Transcendental Meditation–Sidhi programme, including Yogic Flying, teachers explain.
The meditators practise Transcendental Meditation all together in a group, twice a day at the beginning and end of the school or work day, and continue to do so after learning the advanced programmes.
Scientific research has shown that such groups create an effect of coherence in society, proportional to the size of the group. Even a relatively small number—the square root of 1% of a community or a nation—practising Yogic Flying together is sufficient to create measurable positive changes in social trends in the whole population, including reduced crime and violence and increased social coherence and harmony.
The International Center for Invincible Defense, which focuses on scientific solutions to addressing and creating world peace, explains more about this process:
'Published research confirms that collective practice of the Transcendental Meditation and TM-Sidhi programs by groups of several hundred to several thousand trained experts quickly neutralizes acute societal stress—including the ethnic, religious, and political tensions that fuel violence and conflict. Violence and conflict are thereby averted as tensions are calmed and as the enmity in an adversary is naturally defused.'
The Center's website elaborates on the research which backs this unique approach. Practising Yogic Flying in a group is 'an approach validated by more than 50 replications and 23 studies published in leading peer-reviewed scientific journals. It is a direct technological application of the most advanced discoveries in the fields of quantum mechanics, neuroscience, and human consciousness.'
In Latin America, as schools and corporations continue to adopt this approach, word has spread about the good results both within these institutions and in their surrounding communities, creating increasing demand for more such programmes. In some locations in the past year, very large numbers of students and professionals have been learning and practising together.
News reports of better trends in many Latin American countries reflect the combined coherence-creating effect of these groups, said an administrator of the programmes—referring especially to surprising reports of a dramatic decrease in poverty across the continent in the last year. This development is particularly striking in view of the continuing global financial crisis, he said.
Now, in one city, two groups have been formed, together making a total of 2,850 practising Yogic Flying—more than the square root of 1% of the population of all of Latin America—and thus large enough to create coherence throughout the entire Latin American continent.
This is the requirement for 'continental invincibility', the administrator explained, which has always been the goal of all these separate initiatives taken together.
With training of more large groups in progress or planned to begin in the near future, Transcendental Meditation teachers expect to see an accelerating, continent-wide cascading effect of rising quality of life—cause for celebration as an invincible state of prosperity, progress, good health, happiness, and permanent peace unfolds for the whole population.
