Dr Hagelin returns from peace-promoting tour of South Korea

Prominent quantum physicist Dr John Hagelin, in his capacity as President of the Global Union of Scientists for Peace (GUSP), recently returned from a tour of South Korea. The tour was designed so Dr Hagelin could present an offer on behalf of GUSP of $1 million to train 1,000 troops in the brain-based technology necessary to create permanent peace in the region.
At a news conference in Seoul on 27 March, Dr Hagelin, along with Capt. Ray Seebald (Ret.), a military aide to US Presidents Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush, said that the brain-based approach to peace could defuse the hostilities and end the nuclear standoff between the North and the South within 60 days.
The tour was organized by prominent Transcendental Meditation teachers in South Korea, Dr Lee and his wife Sook Rea. Both were on hand at every meeting Dr Hagelin attended to facilitate the events and provide translation.
Also on hand was Capt. Seebald, who, in addition to previously acting in an advisory role at the White House, is also a current long-term practitioner of Transcendental Meditation and the advanced Transcendental Meditation Sidhi Programme.
The tour occurred during the Global Nuclear Security Summit, designed to address the nuclear tension between North and South Korea and other conflict-filled areas of the world. Over 50 heads of states from major powers of the world assembled in Seoul for the summit.
This timing was no coincidence. Dr Lee organized the tour to take place at a time when the press were already in Korea to hear about possible solutions to end conflict and nuclear standoffs, especially between North and South Korea.
Whether it was the timing of the tour or its organization, Dr Hagelin garnered major press during his time in South Korea. His offer of creating 1,000 experts in peace was published in three major newspapers, including the main English-language paper and the two leading Korean newspapers.
