Pure consciousness: The field of absolute symmetry

In his recent lecture, 'Beauty in Vastu', Vedic architecture expert Dr Christian Schweizer continued to discuss the principle of symmetry.

According to Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's Vedic Science, he said, at the finer, more abstract levels of nature, more symmetry is found. At the level of the transcendental field of pure consciousness, absolute symmetry exists.

Dr Schweizer quoted from Maharishi's Absolute Theory of Defence: ''Pure consciousness, self-referral consciousness, unbounded awareness, is the most expanded, smoothest state, the one with the most expanded boundaries—it has the greatest degree of symmetry.''

Maharishi explained further: ''Symmetry is the central principle which is used in modern physics to understand and formulate the Laws of Nature and can be conceived as the principle of referring back again and again.'' *

This principle of referring back is the element of Smriti (memory) that maintains the evolutionary power of Natural Law.
