Canada: Niagara Falls Vastu community in final planning stages

The Vastu development near Niagara Falls in Ontario, Canada, is entering its final stages of planning, and already many people have committed to living in this community, which is designed according to Maharishi Vedic architecture and will also use eco-friendly and natural building materials.

The project, which was inaugurated in 2008, includes in its plan a Maharishi Tower of Invincibility, and a self-sustaining economy which supports activities in all 12 areas of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's programmes.

Thirty-one people attended a conference at the site in June 2011, during which the community's different residential options were presented; these participants have remained engaged throughout the planning process, and are committed to moving into the community once it is finished. Residential options will include a condominium hotel with 100 units, and 10-12 houses.

Other prominent features of the community will be a Maharishi Vedic Pandits campus, and an amphitheatre.
