A recent major conference at Maharishi University of Management in Fairfield, Iowa, USA, gave an update on the Maharishi Vedic Pandits programme in India, America, and Nepal. On 26 May in the Golden Dome at MUM, special guests, including teachers and administrators of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's programmes in these countries, described the rapid progress in establishing large coherence-creating groups of Vedic Pandits to create an influence of invincible peace, harmony, and progress in every country and for the whole world.

The core of Maharishi's world peace programme is the group of Maharishi Vedic Pandits at the Brahmasthan (geographical centre) of India. Dr Girish Varma, Director-General of the project at the Brahmasthan, and director of Maharishi's Transcendental Meditation Programme in India, reported on progress in building the campus and expanding the group of Pandits.

There are now 1500 Maharishi Vedic Pandits at the Brahmasthan, and the intention is to expand the group to 9,000 practising Transcendental Meditation and the advanced Transcendental Meditation Sidhi Programme, including Yogic Flying together, as well as the Pandits' special peace-creating Vedic performances. Please see Global Good News article: India: Expansion of Maharishi Vedic Pandit groups for more about Dr Varma's presentation.

Dr Bevan Morris, Prime Minister of the Global Country of World Peace, and Dr John Hagelin, director of the Transcendental Meditation Programme in the United States, praised Dr Varma's great work in India. Dr Hagelin spoke about the success in establishing a large group of Pandits in Maharishi Vedic City, Iowa, who are creating coherence and invincibility in US national consciousness through their daily group practice of Maharishi's technologies of consciousness, as part of the Invincible America Assembly.

Also speaking at the event was a distinguished guest from Nepal, Mr Deepak Baskota, Chairman of the Nepal Maharishi Vedic Foundation, and former Minister for Home Affairs of the Government of Nepal. Mr Baskota outlined the programme Maharishi designed for creating three groups of 121 Vedic Pandits at three special historic sites in Nepal, and supporting the training of Pandits for the other groups in India.

The special conference was held in the presence of Maharaja Adhiraj Rajaraam, honoured by Maharishi as first ruler of the Global Country of World Peace, who lauded the achievements of all these projects, and gave special appreciation to the members of the Invincible America Assembly in Maharishi Vedic City and Fairfield, including the Maharishi University of Management community, who are supporting the realization of all of Maharishi's programmes.

Global Good News will feature more about the special conference about the Maharishi Vedic Pandits in the coming days.
