Maharishi University of Management Translate This Article
31 May 2011
Maharishi University of Management announces the release of a new 10 CD collection with over 13 hours of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's timeless translation and commentary on the first six chapters of the Bhagavad-Gita.*
Maharishi has described the Bhagavad-Gita as the essence of Vedic wisdom, the pocketbook edition of the whole of the Vedic literature. Dr. Vernon Katz, author of Conversations with Maharishi (to be released June 2011), worked closely with Maharishi on the translation and on the editing of the commentary. On these discs Dr. Katz reads from Maharishi's preface and introduction as well as the English translation of the verses.
The Sanskrit verses are chanted in the traditional way by Pandit Ramesh Vardhan and Pandit Ram Chandra Joshi, both renowned pandits of the Bhagavad-Gita in India. The abridged commentary is read by Dr. Mike Tompkins.
The 10-CD set is available through Maharishi University of Management Press.
