The launch of the new website—www.VedicCityPlanning.com—brings out a wealth of information and knowledge about how ancient principles of Vedic architecture—Vastu Vidya*—are being applied to create sustainable cities built in complete harmony with Natural Law.

Please see Part I and Part II of this article.

The latest issue of At Home in Maharishi Vastu® e-newsletter describes some of the many aspects of Vedic city planning that are discussed on the new website, including:

Fundamental Principles
By now, many people are familiar with the basic principles that are applied to the design and construction of a Maharishi Vastu home—including:
∙ Orientation
∙ Marked site (Vastu)
∙ Layout with silent center (Brahmasthan)
∙ Placement
∙ Proportions
∙ Timing
∙ Natural building materials and sustainable systems.

These same principles are applied on a macroscopic level to a city or town designed according to Maharishi Vedic City planning.

Only Maharishi Vedic architecture and city planning utilizes all of these ancient and time tested principles, thereby saving human life from the unknown effects of less holistic systems.

Worldwide Projects
With over $400,000,000 in construction completed worldwide, and more than a dozen planned developments and towns, the momentum is growing almost daily—with requests from city and town governments as well as private developers—to utilize the most ancient and time-tested technology for planning a community that nourishes and supports its inhabitants.

''Such freedom, such abundance, such enormous authority over space and time, such a reality of living in cosmic magnitude—this is living in Vastu.''Maharishi Mahesh Yogi
