Global Mother Divine Organization-USA presents year of achievements, initiatives for 2011

During the recent international celebration of the Global Mother Divine Organization* in MERU, Holland, the organization in the United States presented its many achievements of 2010, along with new initiatives and plans for 2011.

Following are highlights of the achievements of the Global Mother Divine Organization - USA in 2010, presented at the 12 January celebration in Holland by Dr Carol Travis, Director of the Maharishi Invincibility Center** in Ithaca, New York, USA.

Dr Travis reported the news that Maharishi University of Enlightenment is in the final days of raising the support to acquire a permanent campus in North Carolina, USA—the East Campus at Heavenly Mountain.

This beautiful campus, designed according to principles of Maharishi Vastu (Vedic architecture), will also serve as the permanent home of the Mother Divine Programme** of North America. In a few months they will be able to open their doors to all women to come and enjoy knowledge and deep experiences in the soft air of the Mother Divine Programme.

In other news, GMDO-USA, which was incorporated in 2008, achieved 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status in February 2010. The organization is now registered to do business in 33 states plus the District of Columbia.

Since January 2010, Vanessa Vidal has been the National Director of GMDO-USA. An administrative team is being built to guide and support all the various GMDO projects around the country. Meetings have been held in Fairfield, Iowa, USA through the year to further the goals of all of the five Foundations of the Global Mother Divine Organization in the United States.

In July, GMDO-USA hosted a luncheon at The Raj in Fairfield, for more than 100 recertified women Teachers of the Transcendental Meditation Programme. This was an opportunity for women to come together, both to give and receive information relevant to teaching the programme to women and girls, and also be updated on important GMDO initiatives.

GMDO National Management Board member Dr Judy Booth has completed one year of offering a study course on the Bhagavad-Gita to more than 250 women in the United States and Canada, who connected every week via teleconference. The course will be continuing, and Dr Booth will soon be joined by other hosts, including leaders of the Global Mother Divine Organization and women faculty of Maharishi University of Management.

This year more than 20 GMDO Knowledge courses were held across the United States during the spring and fall, as well as during the month of July, with a total of more than 200 ladies attending.

Once a week, leaders of the Global Mother Divine Organization continue to provide commentary on the experiences of the women participants in the Invincible America Assembly in Fairfield, Iowa, USA.

* The Global Mother Divine Organization was founded in December 2007 as the women's wing of the Global Country of World Peace, currently active in 86 countries and rapidly expanding to include 192 countries of the world.
