India: Thousands of students practising Yogic Flying

In India 40,000 students and teachers are enjoying Consciousness-Based Education and practising Yogic Flying together once a day.

This collective practice is creating a beautiful influence of coherence, harmony, and progress for the nation, said Dr Girish Varma, Director-General of the Global Capital of World Peace at the Brahmasthan (geographical centre) of India, and National Director of the Global Country in that nation.*

An expert in Consciousness-Based Education who recently travelled to India commented that it is the first country in the world to have Consciousness-Based Education established on such a large scale, he added, speaking during global 12 January celebrations.

Currently 20,000 students are practising together in the morning and 20,000 in the evening. However, proposed construction of larger facilities will allow all 40,000 to practise at one time, creating an even greater positive effect. This is the goal for 2011.

In order to expand the number of Yogic Flyers and schools offering Consciousness-Based Education, Maharishi Vidya Mandir Schools Group has launched an associate schools programme, Dr Varma announced.

The programme has been very well received with more than 4,000 responses. Maharishi Vidya Mandir Schools Group is working with hundreds of schools to offer the Transcendental Meditation Programme, Yogic Flying, and Consciousness-Based Education for their students.

Leaders in India are now working with Dr Eike Hartmann, Minister of Architecture of the Global Country, to help arrange auspicious Vastu buildings for these additional associated schools.

This would make it possible to 'have millions of Yogic Flyers—students and their teachers and their staff—not only creating coherence for India, but for the whole world from India,' Dr Varma concluded.

*Dr Varma is also Chairman of the 148 Maharishi Vidya Mandir Schools Group, and President of Maharishi Institutes of Management and Information Technology, in India.
