United Kingdom: Maharishi European Sidhaland celebrates 30th Anniversary

Founded by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi in 1980, Maharishi European Sidhaland in Skelmersdale, Lancashire, recently celebrated its 30th anniversary. The community is the largest group in Europe practising the Transcendental Meditation Programme and Yogic Flying, and making use of all of Maharishi's programmes offered by the Global Country of World Peace.

Maharishi European Sidhaland was created to bring together 800 Yogic Flyers to create coherence in the collective consciousness of the country and make the country invincible. The community is also the home of the nationally acclaimed, award-winning Maharishi School. Yogic Flyers from Europe have also made their homes there.

The 30th anniversary celebration brought together many individuals and families who were pioneers and former directors of Maharishi European Sidhaland. Three hundred people attended celebratory conferences and 160 enjoyed a special celebration banquet held in the Sports and Arts Centre of Maharishi School, which was designed according to vedic architecture, Maharishi Sthapatya Veda .

Speakers at the conferences included Raja Peter Warburton, Raja of Great Britain for the Global Country of World Peace, who gave an overview of the profound value and depth of Maharishi's Vedic Science.

Dr Bevan Morris, Prime Minister of the Global Country and President of Maharishi University of Management, and Raja Peter spoke about Maharishi's principles of Total Knowledge, using charts designed by Maharishi on the structure of the Veda, the Unified Field of Natural Law. 'It was a wonderful, thrilling afternoon of Total Knowledge. Everyone gained so much from it,' commented Raj Peter on the Maharishi Channel.*
