25 July 2010
Dr Eike Hartmann, Minister of Global Reconstruction for the Global Country of World Peace, recently presented worldwide initiatives in the field of Maharishi Vedic Architecture—including 192 Towers of Invincibility in 192 countries; the Maharishi Samadhi Smarak, a memorial of Total Knowledge; Maharishi Vedic Architecture training programmes; Peace Colonies and garden cities; and expansion of the campus in MERU, Holland.
Dr Hartmann spoke during the grand, global celebration of the full moon day of Guru Purnima on 25 July 2010. This special day-long celebration took place in MERU, Holland and at the Global Capital of World Peace in the Brahmasthan (geographical centre) of India.*
The Ministry of Architecture is ready with plans, drawings, and untiring support for the realization of a Maharishi Tower of Invincibility in every country, Dr Hartmann said. They will also travel to each location and meet with local builders and engineers to help speed construction.
The Maharishi Samadhi Smarak is well underway in India, he continued. The initiative includes construction of 12 different buildings, highlighting 12 areas of the knowledge and programmes of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi.
Training programmes in Maharishi Vedic Architecture are ongoing, and already more than 800 people have become certified as Vastu coordinators, Dr Hartmann said. Further courses with emphasis on construction of Maharishi Peace Colonies* are now being offered, with additional knowledge in sustainability and garden communities.
Plans for Maharishi Peace Colonies and garden cities are underway around the world, including the United States, France, and Sweden. Such communities will not only be sustainably built, but will utilize all aspects of Maharishi's knowledge including Maharishi Vedic Organic Agriculture.
Maharishi emphasized that one shouldn't 'postpone living in a proper Vastu,' Dr Hartmann said, 'because when you are in proper Vastu there is a connectedness with your own Cosmic status.'
Forming a homeowners association is a good way for individuals to come together to start a Peace Colony, Dr Hartmann noted.
The MERU campus is also being transformed into a garden campus, Dr Hartmann said. The first Tower of Invincibility will be there, and expansion of the campus is also planned.
* Dr Hartmann's report was featured during the 25 July 2010 grand global Guru Purnima celebration, broadcast via Internet webcast on the Maharishi Channel, Channel 3.
** Maharishi Peace Colony: A community founded to help create invincibility for a nation, based on the principles of Maharishi's Vedic Science and their practical applications for living perfection in all areas of life—featuring a Maharishi Peace Palace, Maharishi School, Maharishi Ayur-Veda Health Centre, homes, and buildings for group practice of Yogic Flying—all built according to Vedic Architecture, Maharishi Sthapatya Veda.
