The recently established Prevention Wing of 400 Yogic Flyers in the security forces of Ecuador is already large enough to create invincibility for the nation, and soon even more officers will be participating in the programme. Other Latin American countries are consolidating their progress towards invincibility and introducing Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's programmes in schools.
This week, a new layer is being added to the Prevention Wing in Ecuador: the main officers training academy has started practising the Transcendental Meditation Programme, and in a few months there will be an additional 700 Yogic Flyers, bringing the total to 1,100. These pioneers of peace in the security forces will also receive one class per week to supplement their experience with intellectual understanding.
Raja Jose Luis Alvarez, Raja of Invincible Latin America for the Global Country of World Peace, gave several beautiful examples of the international effect of the Prevention Wing in the improving relations between Ecuador and Colombia.*
In other developments, the current group of 1,000 Yogic Flying students in Mexico will soon begin expanding to 2,400. This will be enough not only to create invincibility for Mexico, but to crown the whole of Latin America with invincibility in just a few months time.
In Guyana, a small country with 65 per cent of the population from India, the traditional schools are beginning to introduce Transcendental Meditation and Yogic Flying. Appreciation is growing for the experience of Atma, the Self, in bringing fulfilment to Vedic culture.
In Latin America there will be two big World Peace Assemblies of Yogic Flyers around the time of the global celebrations of Guru Purnima**: one in Ecuador for Spanish-speakers from throughout Latin America, and one in Brazil for Portuguese speakers.
* Raja Luis's report was featured on the 13 July 2010 Maharishi Global Family Chat, broadcast daily via Internet webcast on the Maharishi Channel, Channel 3. Podcasts of the daily Global Family Chat (audio track) are also now available for automatic download, via an RSS feed.
** Guru Purnima is the day in the Vedic Calendar—traditionally celebrated on the full moon in July—that is dedicated to honouring the Masters of the eternal Vedic Tradition of knowledge, who throughout time have upheld the supreme wisdom of life. In this generation this wisdom has been brought to the world through the knowledge and programmes of Maharishi's Vedic Science, to bring enlightenment to every individual and invincibility to every nation.
