Switzerland: Celebrating the 50th anniversary of the first visit of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi

This year leaders and well-wishers of the Global Country of World Peace in Switzerland will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the first visit of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi.

Maharishi came to Switzerland twice in 1960, once in the spring, and again in the summer, said Raja Felix Kaegi, Raja of Invincible Switzerland for the Global Country of World Peace.*

Raja Felix read descriptions of Maharishi's visit from the book Thirty years around the world: Dawn of the Age of Enlightenment.

During that time fifty years ago, Maharishi looked for a beautiful, peaceful place to hold residential courses.

The ideal location was found in Seelisberg, Switzerland, which served as the International Capital of the Transcendental Meditation Programme organization for many years.

It was in this idyllic setting overlooking Lake Lucerne, that Maharishi inaugurated the Dawn of the Age of Enlightenment in 1975, with many significant inaugurations and achievements following in the years ahead, Raja Felix said.

The golden jubilee celebrations may include a tour of places Maharishi visited in the country, said Raja Felix.

Although the celebration is still in the early planning stages, Raja Felix warmly invited leaders of the Global Country—Maharaja Adhiraj Rajaraam, Rajas, Raj Rajeshwaris,** and Ministers—to celebrate this 50th anniversary and the history of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi in Switzerland.
