In Holland, 'meditation tourism' is gaining significant local government support. Leaders of the Global Country of World Peace are developing day packages so that visitors can enjoy the the programmes of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi during their travels.
Dr Gerard Rieter reported* that he and other leaders in MERU, Holland are working with local hotels to offer such programmes as VedAroma, the Transcendental Meditation Programme, Maharishi Ayur-Veda spa treatments, and Maharishi's Corporate Development Programme—as well as many others.
Dr Rieter also reported on the Tower of Invincibility, which is to be constructed at MERU. Another step of progress and support for the initiative was received this week, he said.
Completion of the beautiful Vastu master plan for the MERU campus is also moving forward, he continued.
Recently, 95 per cent of the local people voted in favour of crucial steps that will make way for the new campus—which is to be laid out and constructed entirely according to Maharishi Vedic Architecture.
*Dr Rieter's report was featured on the 24 March 2010 Maharishi Global Family Chat, broadcast daily via Internet webcast on the Maharishi Channel, Channel 3. Podcasts of the daily Global Family Chat (audio track) are also now available for automatic download, via an RSS feed.
