In Hungary, a course in the Transcendental Meditation Programme has been given at a university for the first time; 300 students learnt the technique. This university has now formed an alliance with Maharishi University of Management in Fairfield, Iowa, USA, to share knowledge and degree programmes.
A large Maharishi Peace Colony* has been founded with the help of the local and national government. In the area where this ideal community will be located, more than a dozen schools have signed up to begin the Transcendental Meditation Programme. 'So there will be a community with a large basis of coherence in the area,' said Raja John Konhaus, Raja of Hungary for the Global Country of World Peace.
Raja Konhaus presented these developments in Hungary on 13 January, during the continuing global 12 January celebrations in MERU, Holland and India.
* Peace Colony: A community founded to help create invincibility for a nation, based on the principles of Maharishi's Vedic Science and their practical applications for living perfection in all areas of life—featuring a Maharishi Peace Palace, a Maharishi School, a Maharishi Ayur-Veda Health Centre, homes, and buildings for group practice of Transcendental Meditation and Yogic Flying—all built according to Vedic Architecture, Maharishi Sthapatya Veda.
