Armenia is currently celebrating the 20th anniversary of the founding of the Transcendental Meditation organization in the country, when very large numbers of people learnt Transcendental Meditation and the advanced Transcendental Meditation Sidhi Programme. Teachers of these technologies for creating invincibility on a national scale have been experiencing great receptivity to their presentations on Consciousness-Based Education.
Twenty years ago, over a period of about seven months, one per cent of the population of Armenia learnt Transcendental Meditation, and the square root of one per cent began the Transcendental Meditation Sidhi programme, including Yogic Flying. Scientific research has identified this formula as the number of Yogic Flyers required to create the Maharishi Effect of coherence in collective consciousness, the basis of national invincibility.
'It is a great joy for all of us around the world to congratulate Armenia on their 20th anniversary,' said Raja Robert Wynne, Raja of Armenia for the Global Country of World Peace*.
He added that he, Dr Maureen Wynne, and the Raj Rajeshwari** of Armenia have enjoyed conference calls each week with the Teachers of Transcendental Meditation in the country.
The Armenian Teachers report great receptivity to all their presentations, especially in the field of education. 'This is to be expected, with the high number of people who have learnt the Transcendental Meditation Technique' across the country, said Raja Wynne.
In a recent group of people learning Transcendental Meditation, several expressed their desire to become Teachers, and others to learn the Transcendental Meditation Sidhi Programme. All are reporting clear experiences of Transcendental Consciousness during their practice.
The organization is planning a course in the Transcendental Meditation Sidhi Programme to be held in 2010, with 30 participants already signed up. Planned courses also include Advanced Techniques of Transcendental Meditation, for which many have also registered.
Raja Wynne also reported that Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's translation and commentary on the Bhagavad-Gita*** has been translated into Armenian and is now being published.
* Raja Wynne spoke on the 2 December Maharishi Global Family Chat, which is broadcast daily via Internet webcast on the Maharishi Channel, Channel 3. Podcasts of the daily Global Family Chat (audio track) are also available for automatic download, via an RSS feed.
** Raj Rajeshwaris—Mothers of the World from the Sovereign Domain of Consciousness—are the Administrators of the Global Mother Divine Organization, inaugurated in December 2007 as the ladies' wing of the Global Country of World Peace in 192 countries.
*** Maharishi Mahesh Yogi on the Bhagavad-Gita: A New Translation and Commentary, Chapters 1-6. (The English-language edition of Chapters 1-6 is available through Maharishi University of Management Press, as is the newly-published Chapter 7.)
