9 December 2009
The Maharishi Peace Palace at Maharishi Garden Village in Suffolk, England, will have excellent eco credentials, which are required now in Europe for new buildings. The building will have many uses, including Transcendental Meditation Teacher Training Courses. Its design and plans will also be available for use in other UK locations and other countries.
There will be no steel in the building and very low carbon use, said Raja Peter Warburton, Raja of Invincible Great Britain for the Global Country of World Peace, giving a progress report on the construction.* Heat will be extracted from the ground, he said, and there will be many ecological features in the mechanical and electrical aspects, and in the actual construction itself.
The design of the building will be available for construction anywhere in other countries that would like to have such a facility. 'It is multi-purpose,' Raja Peter said. 'We can hold residential courses there, conferences and teaching of Transcendental Meditation, and large group practice of Yogic Flying in the large flying halls. Everything will be included in one,' he said.
Residential courses could include the four and a half month Transcendental Meditation Teacher Training Course, as well as weekend residence courses, World Peace Assemblies,** and an Invincibility Assembly. People coming for treatments at the Maharishi Ayur-Veda Spa will be able to stay in the Peace Palace.
Raja Peter welcomed visitors who would enjoy staying in a Maharishi Sthapatya Veda Vastu facility and participating in group practice of the Transcendental Meditation and Transcendental Meditation Sidhi Programme.
'There will be many uses for the building,' Raja Peter said, 'and I'm sure we will discover more and more as the building goes up.'
With all the Vedic decoration both inside and outside the building, 'when you see the building, you're uplifted. When you go inside, you're uplifted. Everything about it will take one in the direction of Total Knowledge,' Raja Peter said.
He also praised the great focus and progress of the team at Maharishi Garden Village, who are masterminding the project under the guidance of the Trustees of the British Transcendental Meditation organization.
* Raja Peter spoke on the 4 December Maharishi Global Family Chat, which is broadcast daily via Internet webcast on the Maharishi Channel, Channel 3. Podcasts of the daily Global Family Chat (audio track) are also available for automatic download, via an RSS feed.
** Weekend residence courses and World Peace Assemblies are special in-residence courses designed by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi for groups of individuals to enjoy extended practice of the Transcendental Meditation Programme and Yogic Flying to accelerate their own evolution through Maharishi's Technologies of Consciousness, while creating coherence in the collective consciousness of their nation and the world.
