Maharishi University of Management presents honorary doctorate in Natural Law to STOLCEL, of WSANEC First Nation in Canada

Maharishi University of Management (M.U.M.) in Fairfield, Iowa, USA is presenting a special honorary doctorate in Natural Law to STOLCEL (John Elliott), a leader of the WSANEC (Saanich) First Nation in Canada, on Saturday, 26 September.
STOLCEL is being honoured for his work to bring out the connection of traditional language and the underlying field of Nature that upholds every culture in peace and progress. He is a descendant of the hereditary family of Chiefs of the WSANEC People, and is the Co-Founder of 'First Voices', the world's first web-based Aboriginal language archive.
The ceremony takes place in the Maharishi Patanjali Golden Dome at M.U.M. on Saturday evening, followed by an American Indian grand cultural celebration 'Powwow'.
Over 30 dancers in full costume from the Winnebago Tribes of Nebraska and Wisconsin are presenting a full evening performance of traditional Native American dancing, drumming, and singing.
The doctoral degree ceremony and cultural celebration are being held as part of a conference 25-27 September at M.U.M., in which leaders of Indian Country from across North America are participating. The conference is titled: 'Building Healthy, Sustainable American Indian Communities'.
President Bill Clinton delivered the opening address for the conference on Friday, 25 September via videotape.

The Saturday evening event is free and open to the public.
