More people learning Transcendental Meditation, enjoying Maharishi's programmes in Canada and Turkey

Countries around the world including Canada, Turkey, St Kitts, and Burkina Faso are enjoying the programmes of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. Achievements from the past year include initiatives in the fields of education, health, agriculture, and architecture.

Raja Paul Potter, Raja of the above countries for the Global Country of World Peace, recently reflected on progress in his domain, congratulating local leaders of the Global Country on their success.

Consciousness-Based Education
It was a joy, he said, to join Dr Ashley Deans, Ambassador of the Global Country of World Peace for Consciousness-Based Education, on some of his Consciousness-Based Education tours. As a result of these tours, 12 schools in Canada and three schools in Turkey have adopted this ideal system of education. Presentations about Consciousness-Based Education were also warmly received in Cyprus, Montenegro, and St Kitts.

Transcendental Meditation
This year the first introductory talk about the Transcendental Meditation Programme was offered in Burkina Faso, and inspired 50 people to learn the technique. Publicity from the 'Change Begins Within' benefit concert* headlined by Paul McCartney, as well as more effective offering of information on the Internet, has doubled the number of people learning Transcendental Meditation in Canada and Turkey, he said.

Vedic Organic Agriculture
Raja Potter congratulated the Directors of Maharishi Vedic Organic Agriculture in Burkina Faso and St Kitts on their progress in this area.

Maharishi Towers of Invincibility
Towers of Invincibility are rising in Turkey and Canada, Raja Potter reported. The Towers will be constructed according to Maharishi Vedic Architecture.

Health
A health centre and spa will be opening in Turkey, Raja Potter announced. In Canada, they are offering many health programmes including prevention of diabetes in First Nations communities through Transcendental Meditation; distribution of Maharishi Ayur-Veda Products; training medical doctors in Maharishi Ayur-Veda; and offering 16-hour courses in Maharishi's knowledge. All of Maharishi's programmes for natural, prevention-oriented healthcare are becoming enlivened in both Canada and Turkey, he said.

Peace-creating Assemblies
World Peace Assemblies of Yogic Flyers are creating coherence in their countries, Raja Potter said. Over 200 Canadians are participating in the Invincible America Assembly in Iowa, USA, and over 100 Yogic Flyers participated in World Peace Assemblies held in July in Canada.

*The historic Paul McCartney concert was held on 4 April at Radio City Music Hall in New York City, USA. The 'Change Begins Within' benefit concert contributed funds to teach one million at-risk children Transcendental Meditation—giving them life-long tools to overcome stress and violence, and promote peace and success in their lives. The support it generated will help to build upon the extraordinary achievements of the David Lynch Foundation for Consciousness-Based Education and World Peace. The concert was headlined by Paul McCartney, with special guests including Ringo Starr, Sheryl Crow, Eddie Vedder, Ben Harper, Moby, Paul Horn, Bettye LaVette, Donovan, and Jim James.
