This past year 30,451 Indian citizens learned Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's Transcendental Meditation Programme, and 12,430 learned the Transcendental Meditation Sidhi Programme including Yogic Flying.
Teachers of the Transcendental Meditation Programme are now present in over 300 cities in India, and the goal is to offer this technique and its wide-ranging benefits to even more people in the coming year, said Dr Girish Chandra Varma*, continuing his Guru Purnima Day** address.
Please see Part I, Part II, and Part III of this article.
In June, 14 new Transcendental Meditation Teachers graduated from a Teacher Training Course. Dr Varma described them as 'one of the best groups of young, highly qualified, and talented teachers' who are fulfilling their new role 'with great enthusiasm'.
Before Guru Purnima, Transcendental Meditation Teachers, Transcendental Meditation Sidhi Administrators, and Advanced Technique Teachers in India completed a recertification course. 'We have decided to offer refresher courses for all our Teachers and Administrators on [an] annual basis from this year,' Dr Varma said.
Under the leadership of a great member of Purusha,*** Maharishi Corporate Development Programme has trained 430 participants this past year—including chairmen, managing directors, and top level executives of fortune companies in India, Dr Varma said.
In the coming days, Global Good News will feature more of Dr Varma's talk, including a presentation of Maharishi Sthapatya Veda construction initiatives.
*Dr Girish Varma is National Director of India for the Global Country of World Peace. He is also Director-General of the Global Capital of World Peace at the Brahma-Sthan [geographical centre] of India, Chairman of the 160 Maharishi Vidya Mandir Schools Group and President of the Maharishi Institutes of Management and Information Technology, in India.

***Maharishi designed the Maharishi Purusha Programme for men who wish to dedicate themselves fulltime to the most rapid pace of evolution and to creating world peace, through extended group practice of the Transcendental Meditation Sidhi Programme, and through their administration through silence, fulfilling the goals of the Global Country of World Peace in 192 countries of the world.
