24 July 2009
Presenting recently as part of the extended global celebration of Guru Purnima 2009, Raja Bjarne Landsfeldt, Raja of Invincible Russia for the Global Country of World Peace, summarized the major achievements in his domain during the past year.
'More and more people in Russia are being drawn to the programmes of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi,' began Raja Bjarne. During the past year, he said, 243 people have learned the Transcendental Meditation Programme, 92 have received instruction in Transcendental Meditation Advanced Techniques, and 74 have learned the Transcendental Meditation Sidhi Programme. In addition, many people in the country attended TM Sidhi refresher courses, and many have sought treatment through Maharishi Vedic Vibration Technology. 'The whole structure of the Global Country of World Peace organization was created during this past year in Russia,' continued Raja Bjarne, 'including the establishment of 15 Maharishi Invincibility Centres, [one] for each of the country's major regions.'
Another recent major event in Russia was the publishing of Dr David Lynch's book Catching the Big Fish: Meditation, Consciousness, and Creativity in Russian. On this occasion the renowned filmmaker toured the nation delivering widely attended lectures and press conferences.
Finally, Raja Bjarne reported that there have been five World Peace Assemblies of Yogic Flyers held in Russia during the past year. The most recent, which took place in May 2009, hosted 125 participants representing 25 major cities. 'The participants of this WPA were extremely dedicated to maintaining their local Yogic Flying groups throughout the country,' Raja Bjarne said. 'It was heartwarming to hear how seriously they took their responsibilities as leading members of the Global Country of World Peace within Russia'—creating invincibility for the nation through their daily group practice of Maharishi's peace-creating Technologies of Consciousness.
