On the upcoming day of Akshaya Tritiya, the auspicious Day of Lasting Achievements in the Vedic calendar, the Global Country of World Peace in Latin America is planning to launch several initiatives for consolidating and expanding the programmes of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi on the continent.

Raja Jose Luis Alvarez, Raja of Latin America for the Global Country of World Peace, reported on 21 April 2009 that on Akshaya Tritiya there will begin projects to build Maharishi Towers of Invincibility in nine different Latin American countries. Also, in nine separate countries, projects will be launched to construct Maharishi Schools according to Vedic Architecture, Maharishi Sthapatya Veda. 'We already have fostered the growth of consciousness in Latin America,' said Raja Luis, 'but now we need Vastu structures to support and protect this heightened consciousness throughout the continent.'

Also on the auspicious day, which falls on 27 April this year, Raja Luis plans to formally establish a fund to support the Maharishi Vedic Pandits in India, as well as the construction of Brahmanand Saraswati Nagars.

In addition, the Global Country of World Peace will orchestrate the establishment of a David Lynch Foundation of Latin America, which will help unite philanthropists, artists, and other public figures in their efforts to expand Consciousness-Based Education on the continent. One of the objectives of this new branch of the David Lynch Foundation will be to organize concerts, television broadcasts, and internet multimedia for the purpose of inspiring greater numbers of youth to learn the Transcendental Meditation Programme.

Raja Luis also aims to establish the Association of Latin American Educators on Akshaya Tritiya, a group which will be comprised of teachers, principals, administrators, and counsellors. The association will be represented in the David Lynch Foundation of Latin America, since educators and students will be the beneficiaries of the foundation. The two organizations together will launch an initiative to teach 100,000 more Latin American students the Transcendental Meditation Sidhi Programme, including Yogic Flying, within this year, and to teach Transcendental Meditation to a half million more students.

Other initiatives mentioned by Raja Luis included the establishment of a Maharishi Sthapatya Vedic Institute, the launching of agricultural programmes in farms and training centres in several Latin American countries, and the establishment of Maharishi Ayur-Veda programmes and facilities in at least nine countries.

Lastly, Raja Luis plans to expand the Maharishi Corporate Development Programme for Latin America, and to appoint leaders on the continental level, as well as the national level, for each of the 12 departments of the Global Country of World Peace in Latin America.

'Expanding all of these programmes simultaneously will yield the greatest results,' said Raja Luis in conclusion. 'With the growth of collective consciousness, success will come naturally for each of these initiatives to be launched on Akshaya Tritiya.'
